Type Locality and Naming

Along the Aksham ridge, Chatkal-Kuramin region. Identified as a moraine based on data from A.R. Blazhie in icha (Safarov et al., 1999f).

Synonym: Aksham Moraine, Акшамская морена


Lithology and Thickness

Remnants of the main and terminal moraines of various stages, composed of poorly sorted boulders with fragments of poor and medium roundness on a gravel-sand-clayey filler. Thickness of moraine body 30-50m.
